I made this cleanse to suit my personal needs. I don’t need to lose weight, and really can’t afford to. I eat pretty healthy on the regular, so I’m not in need of anything extreme. This is doable for me to do over 2-3 weeks without feeling weak, light headed, or cranky. Instead I’m able to stay balanced while releasing what does not support my body in functioning at it’s best. Please feel free to modify it to suit your personal situation.
Also, we are not just made up of our physical being! We also have our emotional, spiritual, and mental aspects as well that together make up our WHOLE being. Use this time to journal, visit your therapist, pray, meditate, and RELEASE anger, sadness, negative beliefs, and negative people. Spring is here, it’s time to start anew!
Happy Cleansing! :)

Hi kingjosef!
When it comes to my hair…I realized one day that the thought of wearing my hair natural scared me. I thought it would be ugly and unattractive. I didn’t get a perm until I was 16, so I knew what my natural texture was like…and I hated it. It really concerned me that I had such a negative opinion of myself. And, I realized that that opinion had a lot to do with how I thought others would perceive me. For years I stayed in the ‘pretty girl with long straight hair’ box. So, I challenged myself to overcome my fear and embrace my natural hair, and in a way embrace myself. I’m so glad I did, I’ve loved every minute of it! :)
Soothing Dry Skin in the Winter
Here’s an easy peasy home remedy for dry skin. I don’t know about you, but this winter has been wreaking havoc on my skin. I tried the following and it worked great for me! Hope it helps!
1. Start by saturating your skin with pure Sesame Oil. You can find Sesame oil at whole foods or your local health food store. Sesame oil is great for dry skin as it softens, hydrates, and rejuvenates the skin. Think of this as a “hot oil treatment” for your skin!
2. While you let the oil sink in, start dechlorinating your bath water. I found this bath ball at Whole Foods for about $40 and it lasts for about 500 uses. I really noticed a difference too!
3. Next add a cup of GROUND oatmeal. I used a coffee grinder. Or, you can use an instant oatmeal. You can also add a cup of milk if you have some one hand.
4. After that dissolves, it’s time to jump in! Soak in the oatmeal bath for about 10 minutes.
5. Wash your body gently using Dr. Bronner’s Hemp Almond Pure Castile Soap. I love this soap because it’s not drying, it’s all natural, and it leaves my skin feeling great! It lasts a long time too and can even be found at Target!
6. Rinse off and pat your skin dry. Your skin should still feel moisturized from the sesame oil. In case you still need a little extra, feel free to apply more sesame oil. If it’s too heavy for you, you can also try a nice Almond oil. It has the same effect as sesame oil, just lighter.
Enjoy!

Everyday life can be a real challenge to our practice, but without it we wouldn’t need this practice. #mindfulness #meditation
Dating is about getting to know another person. Some singles view dating as a magical time with a person who makes them feel wonderful, and yet that dream simply isn’t possible…all of the time. I promise, no matter how amazing of a person you pick, there will come moments when they get discouraged. There will be other times when both of you disagree or even argue. How they treat you during those nonromantic moments is the best indication of what kind of marriage partner they will be.
The truth is that in those moments, they aren’t being driven by their feelings, but by the simple fact of do they care enough about you to be gracious to you…even when they don’t feel like it.
